That which liberates the knots of attachment and stinginess, extracts the essence from illusory wealth, and becomes a great treasury of benefit for ourselves and others. The practice of pure generosity — may it be perfected.

— Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche

Katog Vajra Ling relies exclusively on individuals’ kind donations to fund all aspects of the meditation center including the rent, electricity, and a few sundries for the space. We are so grateful to have such a beautiful space to meditate and practice together.

Donations are directed to Katog Choling with a note mentioning that funds should be used for the Connecticut Sangha, Katog Vajra Ling. Since we are a satellite center to Katog Choling, a 501-3c non-profit, your donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Ways to Donate Funds

  • You can make your donation online, using Katog Choling’s General Donations Form: https://katogcholing.com/donate You can choose to make a one-time or recurring donation. In the Comment box, write “For the Connecticut Center” so your donation is properly credited.
  • You can send a check made out to Katog Choling. Again, please make sure to write in the memo that the donation is “for the Connecticut Sangha, Katog Vajra Ling.” Mail it to Kathleen Hayes, 91 Three Corners Road, Guilford CT 06437

KR — “If even the giving of a single small flower becomes an offering, and like the example of the power of connection in how one drop of water merges with the entire ocean, without judging the size of a donation, all offerings are endowed with merit that moves the waves of benefit for beings. As it is said, a gathering of many small parts can become a great whole. When we reflect upon it, if we were to give away even half the price of what we spend on a single cup of tea or coffee a day, how much benefit for others could we accrue over time? In this way, please help by regularly tossing seeds into this jeweled vessel of benefit for others. Any virtue accumulated through this, dedicate to the benefit of all and make aspirations on their behalf.”
